Cancellation policy & other changes

 

Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the delivery will receive a full refund, between 24-48 hours 50% refund. No refund if the order is cancelled within 24 hours.

Changes to the order like cake flavors & size, cake message etc. if made up to 48 hours before the delivery will be done, between 24-48hours can be requested but we cannot promise though we will try our best. No changes can be made within 24 hours.

We specialize in personalized gourmet cakes made to order and delivered to your friends and family in Ann Arbor & the surrounding areas.

Our incredible selection of freshly baked, mouth-watering cakes/cupcakes, made from the finest ingredients is a wonderful way to remember your loved ones or co-workers for holidays, birthdays or any special occasion. On-time delivery is of utmost importance to us. We deliver with greatest care and guarantee that your gift cake will arrive fresh, on time and in just the right shape.

 


 The following tips will help us make a successful delivery:
Please check with the recipient’s schedule for the day of the delivery and coordinate the time well. Please provide us with the recipients phone number, preferably cell phone number or an alternate contact. It is important that someone be available to receive the cake, as we cannot leave it at the door. In case of non-availability of recipient at the time of delivery there will be no refund. We will leave a door notice to let the recipient know that a gift delivery was attempted. Our re-delivery fee is $20 in Ann Arbor.

You can choose to have your cake delivered to work if the recipient will not be at home during our delivery time.

 Surprise Delivery

To ensure surprise deliveries we would suggest delivering the gifts at work or delivering to a co-worker. Please make sure to provide accurate contact name and phone number information.


College Delivery

Please include the address/phone number of the main dorm office or main delivery area on campus since we may not be able to deliver the gift to the dorm room because of security reasons.


 Time zone Difference

For out-of-state orders, please be aware of the time zone difference. Make sure you give us the local time of delivery.


 All products must be paid for before delivery. (Method of payment: Cash, Cheque, Pay Pal)
No deliveries can be made to PO Boxes.

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this Web site as well as all transactions conducted through the site.

 

Shipping & Delivery

At Cakes By Rubina we ship only certain products in our menu like Cake Truffles and Coffee Cakes. All other items can be picked up at our workplace in Ann Arbor with appointment or we can arrange to deliver the product, within a reasonable driving distance from our workplace.

To ensure that your order arrives securely please familiarize yourself with our shipping policies before you shop.

We use FedEx to ship our products.

Please understand that due to the perishable nature of our products we ship items only on particular days of the week to ensure that the product arrives at the destination not only fresh but also in a timely manner.

We do not process any orders on Sundays and Public Holidays. All orders received by 9 pm EST are generally shipped the next Business Day including Saturday. Please check your delivery day according to the table below and please make sure to give ample time to order processing and shipping. If you are not sure please call to confirm at 734-730-5090. Cakes By Rubina is fully committed to deliver your favorite product in a timely manner. However, Cakes By Rubina cannot be held responsible for any delayed shipment due to circumstances beyond our control like bad weather, natural disaster or incorrect delivery address.

Cake Truffles
        - Next Day (Priority Overnight & Standard Overnight) or Two Days Air(2nd Day AM & 2nd Day).
        - 1-2 days Ground Shipment is also available for certain areas as shown in the map.
Coffee Cakes
        - Ground Shipment from 1-4 business days available for certain areas as shown in the map.
        - For faster shipment you may select Next Day (Priority Overnight & Standard Overnight) or Two Days Air(2nd Day AM & 2nd Day).

Last Minutes Rush Orders
Note: Since we bake to order only we need 24 hours for processing the order. Sometimes however, we can accommodate last minute rush orders for same day shipping, please call to confirm.

Signature Release
Our packages are shipped with a Signature Release, which allows FedEx to leave packages without a signature. If no one is present, the package will be left at the door.

If you require any other arrangement than a Signature Release, please call our office at 734-730-5090 to make other arrangements.

Warm Weather Shipping Surcharge
In warm weather we use special insulation along with cold packs to ensure freshness of the merchandise; this will automatically add $5 to your shipping cost. We recommend using One Day Service during warm weather or items being shipped to warm areas.

Shipping Restrictions
We ship merchandise only to Continental 48 States of USA excluding all PO Boxes.

Shop Now, Ship Later
For any advance orders please fill the note section at checkout the time of submitting your order and specify the date when your order needs to be shipped. Cakes By Rubina will hold your order and ship it out according to the shipping options you have selected.

Refusing a Package
In circumstances where a package is refused by a customer, the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges, to the customer and back to Cakes by Rubina.

Special Packaging Charge
Please know that in any instance when we cannot ship your package based on the shipping rates shown on our website we reserve the right for a Special Packaging Charge. It happens sometimes in circumstances when the shipping cost may reach beyond our standard shipping and handling charges. The reason for this is simple since we want to offer majority of our clients lower rates. Please know that in all these cases we will tell you in advance and it would be at your discretion whether you’d like to go ahead with the order or cancel it.

The map above is a general representation of transit times for FedEx Ground shipments to commercial destinations. In limited areas, transit times may differ between shipments to commercial and residential destinations.

FedEx Ground business days are Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). FedEx Home Delivery business days are Tuesday through Saturday (excluding holidays).

Example: A package shipped via FedEx Ground on Monday with a transit schedule of 2 business days, (not including the day the package is shipped) would be expected for delivery on Wednesday.
